Shopping and Dining Options in Meridian Ranch

The builders did not let residents want for anything when planning out this beautiful community. The brand new 80,000-square foot shopping center is in Phase I of building. It offers an immense variety of shopping and dining options including Papa John’s Pizza, Meridian Ranch Liquor, Nana’s Kitchen, Splash Bath Pet Grooming, and JAK’s Brewing Company just to name a few. The CreekView Grill is another amazing option, located inside of the Antler Golf Course.

Just outside of Meridian Ranch is Powers Boulevard, which has your everyday needs like a Super Target, Kohl’s, and an IMAX Theatre to see all of the new films. Falcon Town Center is home to the local grocery store, Safeway, as well as Walmart and a variety of dining and coffee shop options.

Meridian Ranch Parks and Recreation

Meridian Ranch offers its own local parks, trails and a new 40,000-square foot recreation center.  With access to indoor and outdoor pools with lap lanes, a lazy river and play pool, volleyball courts, and a fitness center, there truly is something for everyone. Meridian Ranch District partnered with the YMCA and Pikes Peak recreation to create the all-encompassing recreation center for residents.

Along with access to the variety of amenities, the YMCA offers Youth and Family Programs, Summer Day Camps, fitness classes and much more.

Being so close to Colorado Springs, you also have access to many of the amazing local attractionsWith over 9,000 acres of parkland and 500 acres of trails, there is endless amounts of nature to explore.

Garden of the Gods – This is one of the most visited attractions within the western region. Garden of Gods is a Natural National Landmark with gorgeous red rocks, trails galore, restaurants, interactive family exhibits, and more. 

Manitou Incline Trail – this trail is for those advanced climbers and hikers out there. Gaining over 2000 feet of elevation in less than a mile, it will test your limits and physical endurance. The trail is one of the most popular outdoor attractions in Colorado. During the summer, there are also free shuttles. 

Manitou and Pike Peaks Railway (Cog) – this railway is the World’s Highest cog train, ascending 14,115 feet up Pikes Peak throughout the entire year. At the top, you will experience the jaw-dropping panoramic views. From mid-May to mid-September, 6-8 trains run per day. 

 

United States Air Force Academy – the USAFA serves as both an Air Force base and academy for those who are starting their journey with the USAF

Cheyenne Mountain Zoo This is the U.S.’s only mountainous zoo located on Cheyenne Mountain. It is the prime location for families to enjoy wildlife, and amazing view of the Colorado Springs area.

Meridian Ranch Schools and Transportation

The Colorado Springs community offers schools within the neighborhood that are a part of the Falcon School District 49Meridian Ranch Elementary School is PreK-5th Grade, Falcon Middle School is 6-8th Grade, and Falcon High School is 9-12th Grade. The convenience allows kids to stay active by walking or biking to school, and helps them enhance social skills by meetings other kids around their age within the community.

Many residents of Meridian Ranch and the Colorado Springs area use bikes, walking and cars as the main mean of transportation. Colorado Springs and Pikes Peak region also provide a public transit bus system - Mountain Metro Transit. The fair is $1.75 for adults and $.85 for children with free transfers. The Colorado Springs Airport has a small selection of national flights available and the Denver International Airport is just over an hour commute away. The Greyhound Bus System also provides buses throughout the U.S.
